I'm making it a goal to not let picture taking, take a back seat with Bennett as it seems to do with most #2's (so I hear). After the first couple of days home and realizing we'd snapped few pics of the little guy (and of Cal), we've been trying to be better about getting the camera out.
We're all doing great at home. Surprisingly, we're getting a decent amount of sleep (knock on wood) and Cal's been doing pretty well adjusting to his new live-in buddy. It's been a huge help having Ian home to keep Cal entertained. Bennett's been a sleeping champ. He sleeps way more than Cal ever did (again, knock on wood), and I think this has really helped make our transition to a fam of 4 fairly easy.

He's also an eating champ, just like his brother... At Bennett's first post-hospital dr.'s appointment (5 days old) he was just one ounce shy of his birth weight, weighing in at 8 lbs. 12 oz.
Here are some of the things we've been up to the past week.
We acted silly with our cousins. Good thing Lo & Logan are up for Cal's crazy antics.
Emery came over to meet Bennett.
and I got to visit with Emery's mom
shared some brotherly love.
and slept...
and slept some more... 
stretched.
practiced our thumbs-up. 
snuggled with dad.
then brother got jealous and wanted to join. 
made funny faces.
and more funny faces.
beat the heat playing in the sprinklers.
went to Bennett's first dr.'s appointment and passed all check-ups with flying colors.
and enjoyed staying wrapped up like a little burrito.

We are doing a pretty good job on the 2nd kid photos. Wesley has 21,499 and Jillian has 14,273 photos on Flickr. Of course Wesley has a 20 month head start. Poor Redmond only has 406 :(
Joe is impressed you already have him in t-shirts & shorts. He looks a lot like Callahan did at 1 week... but I see more of Ian in him. Everyone keeps asking me if you plan on giving Bennett a nickname, like "ben"?
His nickname is Speedster. You figure it out. Pa!!

Hmm, I don't get the nickname either... I'll have to ask Ian if he gets speedster.
Gina - we're still working on the nickname. That was the one minor hang up with the name Bennett cause I love me a good nickname. We're not crazy about Ben so it might end up being Benny. We'll see. Right now we've been calling him Bennett, B, and a little bit of Ben and Benny to see which one feels right.
Josh - I'm impressed with your guys' picture taking. Poor Redmond... We have albums full of pics of our dogs that were all taken pre-kids. Now they are lucky if they make it into a couple pics every couple of months.
