We're moved!

BIG thanks to my dad who took a couple days off of work to help Ian build the fence and help us move. There's no way we could have done it without him! Moving sucks, and it really sucks when you just moved 7 months ago and have 2 young kids to watch after. But the kids were troopers and we LOVE our new home (and won't be moving again for a LONGGGGG time).

my little packing helpersDuring the move we got out the exersaucer for B. Big brother's having a hard time parting with his old baby things.
What a little moving trooper. He'd just move around the house/garage/etc. in his bumbo and was as happy as could be.
And we snuck in a little bit of fun during the move and went to St. Joseph's harvest fest (nothing better than a catholic fundraiser with a beer garden).

Our twenty-ten, thus far.

This year has been insane for us. Completely action packed with lots of big, life-changes... Probably one of the busiest years of our lives, and while it's been a great year I'm already looking ahead to hopefully a little more calm 2011. Here's a little glimpse of our year, in a nutshell.
  • Ian got a new job.
  • We listed & sold our Seattle house.
  • Ian moved to Wenatchee and in w/ the in-laws.
  • I said goodbye to PR & hello to stay-at-home motherhood (hooray)!
  • Cal & I moved a month later once the house closed.
  • We got settled.
  • Cal turned 2.
  • Bennett was born!
  • Our house almost burnt down (x2).
  • And, we bought a new house & are moving again.

(the new house)

But seriously - although busy - it's been a GREAT year. Ian got a wonderful job, we were able to move close to my fam, I'm now home full-time with my kiddos and the biggest blessing of it all, Bennett joined our family!

First day of school

Cal had his first day of preschool yesterday (he's in a 1 day a week parent-child class) and he couldn't have been more excited. All morning he kept asking if he was going to ride a school bus... nope, sorry kiddo. He also wanted to know if Logan was going to be in school with him, nope again. But, despite these mild disappointments he had a blast - he played with friends, learned how to use scissors, did crafts, read books, and more.

the fair

We took the kids & Logan to the Chelan Co. fair this weekend and this year it was well worth the small fortune it costs to par-take in all fair has to offer. Cal loved it (not the case last year...). I thought it would take some major convincing, bribing, along with a little kicking & screaming to get him in the animal barns, but he couldn't get enough of them. we watched pig races we fell in love with these twowe rode ridesand roller coasters!and put our hands up in the air like a big kid
We ateWe danced! and to prove the little mister was in fact there, although he slept through his first fair we got to go in an ambulance and get some goodies and ended our fair fun with a little horse ride

Like father, like son.

Cal was pretty tickled to be wearing a hat just like dads. Next up, lets see if I can get all 3 boys in matching outfits! I'm sure Cal's down, I just have to get Ian on board.

September 1

Not only was Sept. 1 B's 2 month b-day, it was also the day that Ian's proposed 5 years ago & this little lady joined our family!

The Woolley

We took an action packed trip over to the west side over labor Day weekend making a quick stop in Lynnwood, a stay with Ian's folks in the Woolley, errands in Bellingham and a visit with the Hintons out in La Conner. Cal loves visiting the farm and had been driving us nuts all week leading up to our trip asking about driving the tractor and riding Homie & Bob (the mule & horse). While he didn't ride the animals (or dare get close to them) he did get to drive the tractor with Pa and work out in the garden with Grammie.

Bennett's newborn pics

When Bennett was 4 days old Mary (MKC Photography) came over and shot his newborn pics. She's done all of our pics since Cal was born and I'm so grateful that she did B's since she was getting ready to welcome her little guy into the world any day. Here's a look at some of the pics.

(not sure what's up w/ the super poke widget thingy on the bottom of the slide show, just hit the X in the right-hand corner to close it out)

2 months old!

My littlest munchkin is 2 months old today. Where did the last 9 weeks go?!? I just want to keep him as my little babe for a little longer... so sweet & innocent (now that I know what lies ahead when they turn 2 ;). He sure does make parenting easy. So content, a great sleeper and has a smile that melts my heart.

It looks like we have another linebacker on our hands. Bennett had his 2 month check-up today and he's HUGE. Cal better watch out cause I looked back and B weighs more than Cal did at 2 months... which I really didn't think was possible.

Bennett's 2 month stats:
* Weight: 15 lbs. 4 oz. (98%)
* Height: 24.5 inches (91%)

(Cal was 14 lbs. 8 oz & 25 inches at 2 months.)

Here's some pics of what we've been up to the last couple of weeks.

little mister at his 2 month check-up

I may be a little biased but I'm pretty sure I have the cutest boys ever ;) Look at those cheeks! someone's been a little possessive of B's toys this makes me happy. happy little bugger someone thinks their mom is funny and now giving mom the stink eye poor Cal got a really bad hair cut....my sis said he looks like a little dutch boy. his hairdresser shall remain nameless Cal's been doing some really wacky things going to bed. He conked out on his etcha-sketch the other day going down for a nap.then the other night we went in to check on him before going to bed and this is how we found his bed... he was sound asleep under his bed with a pillow & Garfield bumbo'ing for the first time We left both kids for the first time to go to my friend Brooke's wedding. We left Cal for the first time at 3 months and B at 7 weeks...shows how different things are with #2college girlfriends
