Bennett's take on crawling.

The kid's got a killer Worm going on. Break dancing before he can even walk... pretty impressive if you ask me.

Sausage Fest 2011

A day filled with good company, family time & making 450 lbs. of sausage. Unfortunely, I didn't get very many pics this year but thankfully Ian's cousin Patrick snapped some and sent them our way.

Cal & his best bud for the day (Ian's cousin Jake)

there she is smoking in all her glory

Resemblance?

Some days I see it, some days I don't. Today I don't. I'll have to do some more side-by-side pics of the kids, they're kinda fun. I love looking back on Cal's baby pics cause we're so wrapped up in Bennett's baby phase that my memories of Cal at this age are a pretty distant. And can you guess what Bennett's had for his nightly veggies the last couple nights, I think his orange nose gives it away. And I still have no idea who the heck Bennett gets his good looks from... me or Ian??

Last day of soccer

Cal had his last soccer class last week and I'm a little bummed it's over cause he had a ball. And how proud he was of his class picture certificate they got at the end was priceless!

going up to get his picture

and admiring it

Happy St. Patty's Day!

My attempt to get a decent pics of my two little munchkins...
If only I would have remembered the camera for the rest of the day's St. Patty's festivities :(

The wonderful world of boys.

I never thought I'd know the difference between a bulldozer, front-end loader, excavator (giant & mini), bobcat, backhoe, skid steer, etc. but I do, and if I get it wrong Cal quickly corrects me. The world of little boys is an amazing thing. Cal was playing "construction site" with some laundry on our bed and was bulldozering the clothes onto Bennett. No tea parties & playing dolls over here friends...

Guess who got their 2 front teeth...

This guy! It's milestone central over here, Bennett also started clapping, waving & high 5'ing (and kissing but he's had that mastered for awhile now ;)

Picture dump.

Playing lots games on some of our 'stuck inside snow days'an afternoon lunch & play date w/ Logan cheerios: the key to this kid's heart (& my trick to making dinner w/ 2 busy kids everynight)Cal's obsessed with this commercial. The second he hears it on TV he stops everything and comes running, yelling "elephant dancing, elephant dancing!" And thanks to DVR we watch it over and over and over...so maybe just food is the secret to B's heart. and this is what happens when he runs out.
Thanks for the new jams Gram!

Well good morning sunshine.

Cal gets SO excited every morning to go in and get Bennett up and out of bed, and usually Bennett is excited to see him too, unless he's being woken up. This kid loves to sleep and when we had to go in and wake him up the other morning at 9:30 he was less than thrilled.

A couple more cute videos of the kiddos.

I was going through the Flip and found a couple blog-worthy videos of the kids. Next up, figuring out how to edit my videos to cut them down a bit...

Ya, I was being a little mean antagonizing Cal but his reaction to this dragonfly that came in some flowers when it got too close was priceless. For some reason his natural instinct was to growl at it.

And a cute video of my cute little babe loving on some balloons.

The Cal Show.

Cal had his 3 year check-up today and he's still huge... our linebacker in the making. Our peed said that where most kids' growth levels off during toddler years, Cal's isn't (it isn't just his weight, he's crazy tall). So for the sake of not having the world's biggest 4 year old, we're switching to 1% milk and focusing on healthy eating options (which we do, the kid pretty much lives on fruits & veggies).

Weight: 42 lbs, 2 oz (97%)
Height: 41 inches (97%)

and for your viewing pleasure...

(sorry about the crazy Carie Bradshaw face in the background, I paused Sex & the City)

Where'd Bennett go?

B's birthday ticker on the side of the blog gave me a friendly little reminder that the big guy is 8 months today. Wow, 8 months and 1 day since my baby was still in my tummy and almost 8 months to the minute since our beautiful boy entered the world. I have to say, I'm having the the time of my life with my babes. They are my world.

This kid is on the move, mostly rolling to where he wants to go. I was getting ready and the kids were sitting in my room playing. Then all of a sudden, B was gone. I looked over and there was a little head popping out from under my bed and that's all I could see cause everything else was hidden by the dust ruffle.

Well hello, March.

And hello spring cleaning. We have lots of house projects on the docket - landscape the yard, build a shed, stain the fence, paint the kids' rooms, be ambitious and maybe paint our room & bathroom, organize closets & install shelving, organize the garage and the list goes on. Did I mention we have an extra room, so you're welcome to come help :) Unfortunately the weather's putting a little damper on our outside spring cleaning kick off, so I guess I'll start with tackling this mess....
