Future wedding crasher

After all the weddings we've gone to this summer we thought it would be fun to finally take Cal to one so he could bust a move on the dance floor. I think we have a future wedding crasher on our hands cause he loved every minute of it. Wedding season isn't over for us yet so he might get lucky and make it to one more this year.

lunch at Full Sail (wedding was in Hood River, OR)

first one on the dance floor... surprise, surprise. still the only one on the dance floor... showing the ladies his moves (pics a little blurry, sorry) and lights out after HOURS of dancing.

Take me out to the ball game!

We went to the M's game on Fri. night and had a great time (despite some guy starting a fight with Cal and telling us he was going to tell the ushers on him if he didn't stop dancing).
lots of cheering, such a good little fan my little Ichiro
Cal wanted to befriend the moose man the whole game but when it came time to take a pic and get close he changed his mind

Our week...

Monday: Cal was running around like this (airing out to heal diaper rash), and decided to take care of "business" on an outside toy...

Thursday: Made art all over the couch (this is just a small sampling of the damage)

Friday: Broke into the freezer and poured frozen veggies all over the kitchen floor

Quirky Cal

Somehow all Cal's blankets, pillows, babies and pacifiers ended up outside the crib why he slept peacefully in it.
sharing teddy grahams with Suzie
if only it actually picked up dog hair...
watching barney. Yum! Jamba Juice
... and it's gone in 60 seconds
Happy sis?! ;) To my defense, I've been a bad blogger cause our camera broke and I hate using our old one.

Cal and Hailey sitting in a tree...

The Hintons had us over this weekend and we always enjoy their company and the kids certainly enjoy each other too.

they took each other on stroller rides
gave high-fives
dined on green beans
got mad when I wouldn't share anymore fudgsicle
and rocked out!
Thanks for taking all the pics Gina (sorry for copying your blog)!

Home sweet home

We were finally able to enjoy a weekend at home and it was so nice... We visited friends, saw family, went for a bike ride, took the dogs to the dog park, took Cal to the park, and just enjoyed our time at home.

the big 1.5

Where'd the last 18 months go?!? Our baby is growing up way too fast. I'm loving 1.5 years old and am embracing every minute of it since the terrible two's are right around the corner.

Here's what our little one-and-a-half year old is up to... He's saying way too many words too count, can communicate some of things he now wants, told us he went poop this morning, knows every animal sound in the book, still loves his "babies" (stuffed animals), finally gives closed mouth kisses and says MUAH with every kiss, is a dancing fool, has a major sweet tooth, loves his daddy, loves the dogs, loves having his back scratched, still takes two naps a day, his favorite things to do are reading books and playing outside, still loves Barney (creepy), has almost of full mouth of teeth (think he's at 16), is still huge (98% for both height & weight) and so much more.

celebrating 1.5 with some cake

and more cake... showing off some of his new vocabulary (last word compliments of his dad)...

What a weekend!

My good friends Shannyn and Andrew got married this last weekend and the wedding couldn’t have been more perfect. The rehearsal was a blast, spending the weekend with friends was memorable, Shannyn looked like she belonged in a bridal magazine, the ceremony was perfect/unforgettable/touching/you name it, and the reception was one hell of a party! Below are a couple pics from the wedding.

Hopefully I’ll get some pics from my mom of Cal’s adventure away from us for his long weekend in Wenatchee. I don’t think he even noticed that we were gone… I have a feeling the little prince got his way all weekend cause since he's been back he's been bossing us all around.

Here comes the bride

Mr. & Mrs. Houtrouw!one of the highlights of the reception... a WSU martini ice luge!

We heart Seafair!

This was Cal's reaction to the first Blue Angel that flew over us...
... then it was all clapping, pointing and lots of "WHOAS!"
