Memorial Day Weekend

The weather couldn’t have been nicer and our company couldn’t have been better. We went east for the weekend to spend some time with the fam and spend the bulk of the weekend outside. Cal's a little sun god like his mama and loves soaking up the rays. We're even holding out a little hope that he might have a bit of my skin coloring cause the boy can tan.

Enjoying some wine at Tsillan Cellars. We drink the wine and Logan smells it

...and Cal ate his croc Jenni & Lars playing tag On Sunday we took the 4wheelers out and went up high enough that we hit snow (me pulling Ian out of the snow) what a view...

Julie 1 : Chair 0

Julie was cleaning off the patio to get ready for some summer BBQing and got into a little tussle with the patio furniture. Anybody know how to mend cast iron??

Big Guy

Cal had his 15 month check-up yesterday and it’s no secret, the kid is HUGE. His height isn’t leveling off like most kids, so his future of playing b-ball for the Cougs is looking pretty bright. He also passed his dev milestones with flying colors and even proved to the doc that he can find all his body parts by showing her his button, eyes, nose, etc.
  • Height: 35.25” (100%... way off the charts)
  • Weight: 29 lbs 6 oz (95%)

Just to show how ridiculously tall he is, below is a scan of his height growth chart. The X’s represent Cal’s height milestones, and the lines below are the different percentiles.

the weekend

Saturday we went to Tri-Cities for Cal's buddy, Riley's, 1st b-day. Unfortunately, I took zero pics at the actual party but did get one of the boys post-party. after the little ones went to bed the big kids went out to play
Then Sunday we were off to Wenatchee to spend Mother's Day with the fam

ian b-day celebration

The last couple of years we've gotten together with the Hintons for Ian's b-day to celebrate and this year was no different, except that the two youngsters got to join in on the party.
pretty sure someone in the restaurant called CPS on us for this one

the first cut

After 2 months of rocking a pretty reputable mullet, Cal got his first hair cut on Friday. He actually did really good while the lady was cutting it and I can't believe what a little man he looks like now! He even got a certificate with one of his curls attached.

(blogger is driving me crazy and won't upload this pic with the right orientation...)

off to the farm

Cal spent a night on the farm over the weekend (sans mom & dad) and loved every minute of it. He's obsessed with the animals and probably would have slept in the pasture with the cow if Grammy and Pa would have let him.

good little helper

I brought the laundry into Cal's room to fold, walked out for a minute and when I came back this is what I found...
...and obviously so proud of himself.
