Wild & crazy Saturday night

We joined some of Wenatchee's finest on Saturday for a little family bowling fun. And surprisingly, it was a lot of fun. The kids loved it, I was horrible & borrowed bowling shoes are nasty. And of course, our night ended with a stop at Blue Spoon.

Spider Monkey

Bennett's been taking gymnastics the last couple of weeks and Ian was able to join in on the class fun last week and see the little monkey-man in action, and for once I got to be the spectator.

Weekend recap.

I figure I better blog last weekend, before this weekend comes & goes... Saturday started of with our fall family pics in Leavenworth, and we couldn't just drive by Smallwoods on the way home and not stop so that's just what we did.
Saturday night was Wenatchee High School's homecoming, and I just love that my sis (& Luke) include me on the pre-dance festivities. And I'm always in ahhh with how stylish the girls are.

And to wrap the weekend we celebrated my sis' birthday with the family on Sunday. Happy Birthday Jenni!

Weekend fun.

First up, the fire station open house. We try and go every year & it's always so much fun. The firefighters are awesome hosts and the boys can't get enough of seeing the rigs & riding in the little pumper truck. And guess who gets to have their next b-day party there.... Cal! He has some serious luck when it comes to their raffle. Two years ago he won a fire truck ride and this year he won the fire station bday party!
of course the boys have the look the part
mini pumper rides

big boy going solo on a ride
Next up, Oktoberfest in Leavenworth.
South, yum!!

Crazies

Crazy 1 & Crazy 2. These boys have way too much energy.

Diaper free house!

Friday marked day 1 the of the dreaded potty 3-day training & I'm happy to report  that we're on day 2 of being accident free (knock on wood). Not changing any diapers feels kinda amazing. We did the same 3-day training that we did with Cal and it didn't let us down again. The only difference is day 1 wasn't as big of a disaster as it was with Cal & our biggest challenge this time around was Cal cause he  wanted to be really involved.

It's crazy over the last month or so how much B has seemed to grow up. It's like he woke up overnight taking in full sentences, picking up & using random (funny) expressions, knowing the entire alphabet, counting to 10 like a champ (& even to 20 skipping a few numbers here & there), and now wearing big boy undies. Stop growing big guy, your mommy doesn't like it (aside from the no diapers ;)
tower of new undies washed & ready to go
we played LOTS of tractors to pass the time
Since one of us was on house confinement at all times, Ian was able to take a break with Cal for soccer and a trip to the fire station.

Brought to you by the letter I. Welcome to the big league, Cal.
