Day 28: I'm thankful for our families. Thankful that they are always there for us, thankful for the love they show our kids, thankful that almost everyone is a car ride/road trip away.
Day 29: Thankful for cousins and the love and joy all the cousins share. Regardless of age differences, distance and time apart there is nothing quite like the bond between our kids & their cousins.
Day 30: My final November day of thanks goes to my family. These 4 are my everything... my 3 little blessings & my best friend.

Happy Thanksgiving!
The two kindergarten classes had a Thanksgiving feast last night at the school and it was good fun. The kids even made the beef stew themselves at school that day. Have I said recently how much I love St. Joe's?!
Then today, the school hosted a Thanksgiving Grandparent's Day program. Cal was thrilled to have Gram come to watch him perform and show off his classroom. And even more thrilled about the books she treated the boys to at the school book fair.

Day 27: I am so thankful for all the kids' grandparents. And thankful for my parents supporting the boys in everything they do. They take off work, change plans, etc. to come to everything (sports, programs, you name it and they are there).
Happy Thanksgiving!
A whole lotta pics.

Day 24-26
Day 24: Thankful for a job, at my sis' coffee stand, which I work at once a week and really love doing.
Day 25: Thankful for the rare moments when I have a quiet house. Whether the little ones are napping at the same time while Cal's at school or everyone is in bed for the night, I love my kids dearly but I also appreciate a little mommy down time more than ever before.
Day 26: Thankful for a new day and starting fresh tomorrow. I'm wiped after today. I was puked on too many times to count, pooped on, lost my car keys at the school, crossed the bridge eight times, and had about 2 total hours at home all day before we all got home for the night around 7:30.

Days 19-23
Day 19: I'm thankful for our furry babies. Although Clyde's a bit neurotic and has been driving me nuts recently, I sure do love these two. And I feel fortunate we have two dogs that have always been so good to our kids.
Day 20: Thankful for a long-term memory of steal. Although my short-term memory is garbage, I love how clearly I remember various life events and I love reflecting back on them.
Day 21: I'm thankful for the boys' gratitude. It's such a good feeling when you're kids appreciate you and the things you do for them.
Day 22: I'm thankful for our Alma Mater, WSU. I LOVE being a Coug.

2 month check-up
Emmie had her 2 month checkup today and little miss is as healthy as a horse and perfectly portioned in size. Unfortunately, this was the first round of vaccines (and boy, there were a lot of them) but she took the shots like a champ and so far she seems to be handling the cocktail of medicine well.
2 month stats
Height: 23.25" (77%)
Weight: 12 lb. 12 oz (76%)

Day 15-18
Ok, so I got a couple days behind but I've written my daily thanks daily, I just haven't published them. This last weekend was crazy...
Day 15: I'm thankful for my love of physical activity. Going for a run, going to the gym, etc. is like therapy. Good for the mind, body & soul.
Day 18: Our health care providers here are amazing. After having a dud of a pediatrician in Seattle, I'm so appreciative to have such an awesome doctor for the kids here with whom I have 100% confidence and trust in him.
Day 16: Thankful for Wenatchee and being able to live and raise our kids in a place that we really love.

2 months!
Miss Emmie Mae is 2 months old today. Dang, the days are flying by. She goes in for her check-up next week and I can't wait to see how much she's grown. A couple things about our girl at 2 months.... she loves to snuggle, she sleeps almost all morning & early afternoon, she loves her swing, she gets a little lazy during tummy time, she's smiling more and more and it's pretty much the sweetest thing in the world, I love more than anything her sweet little voice when she "talks," she's wearing 3-6 month clothes, she goes to bed between 7-8 every night, she no longer fights being swaddled, she has the whitest tongue I've ever seen, she loves watching the boys and smiles all the time at Cal, she still sleeps in our room in her bassinet, she usually gets up once a night to eat, she's a puker, she loves getting baths, when she's tired if you hold her horizontally and chest to chest she falls asleep right away, her feet are so long & skinny, and when she cries her scream is so feminine yet high-pitched compared to the boys.
and then our little photo shoot got photo bombed by Suzie & the brothers.
Day 14
Today, and everyday, I am thankful for our good health. I feel so very fortunate that we have 3 healthy kids and I pray everyday that the five of us maintain our good health.

Day 13
We are so thankful for the boy's school. We've had such a wonderful experience with St. Joe's and having the boys there just feels right. I love that the boys are getting a religious-based education (there's not a single day that I don't hear Cal belting out 'Ave Maria' throughout the house), their teachers are great, they've made some pretty awesome friends, we've met some amazing friends and it's such a great community of families.

Day 11 & 12
Day 11: Today (actually yesterday now) I'm thankful for our freedom and those that have served & continue to serve our country.
Day 12: I'm thankful for the gift of being able to stay at home with my kids. It was such a blessing to be able to "retire" and start a new chapter as a stay-at-home mom when we moved to Wenatchee. Granted, there are definitely days when I think going back to work would be a much easier job, I wouldn't trade my days with the kids for anything.

Day 9 & 10

Day 8
After a day like yesterday, I'm always thankful for my boys' patience, forgiveness and unconditional love for me when I'm challenged as a mom. Yesterday was one of those days... My patience was tested pretty much from the moment we got up until everyone was tucked in bed, I had a short fuse, not to mention I had very little time to dedicate to the boys cause my little lady just wasn't feeling naps (and sis gets grumpy when she's tired). Yet, the boys magically forget about my yelling, lack of time and defeated attitude and continue to show me nothing but love.
Day 7
Today I am thankful for this blog and it's 6-year life span. I love that its basically a journal documenting all the major happenings of the last 6 years (and counting) of our lives, starting with my pregnancy with Cal. And even better, we've made books out of our blog so it really is like a scrapbook. I have all the kids' births, birthdays, holidays, vacations, major milestones, well-child check-up stats, you name it, documented. And I really love being able to easily look back and see what each of the kids were like at the same age (i.e. Cal at 7ish weeks, Bennett at 7ish weeks - Emmie's age now). Here's to many more years of blogging!

The last couple of weeks.
Cal had his first sleep over at a friend's a couple weeks ago so we got in some quality time with the little ones. Candyland with Bennett & tummy time for Emmie. |
This little bugger went through a week of insisting he didn't need a nap... and this was the result of no nap by 4 p.m. |
I have to sneak the camera out to try and get a pic of her smiling cause as soon as she sees it or my phone she freezes. |
