America's got talent, he we come...
Cal's dancing just kills me (hence all the dancing videos).... The minute he hears music his body just starts rockin'
Tiger Mountain
We hiked Tiger Mountain this weekend with the rest of the Seattle masses. Cal is such a little hiking trooper. I think he was more excited than Ian & I when we reached the top.

the toupee
There are days Cal looks like he's wearing a serious toupee. Today was one of those days... He's got a massive strip of hair on the top of his head that tends to get a little poofy and it's quite a bit longer than the rest of his hair. Fortunately, little man's getting a cut later this week.
sharing his mac & cheeseI was trying to get him to say his new favorite word... "NO". It's too funny when he says it cause it comes out clear as a bell. He mostly uses it on the dogs, but he's started telling me NO too.

Father's Day #2
Partners in crime.
These two little troublemakers kept me busy on Friday… Every time I turned around they were into something.
Cal likes to disappear & go play w/ the wine fridge. When I went in to check on him, I saw that he’d been adding to the fridge… strategically placing a ruler, compass and a couple pens (love the little finger in this pic pointing out his accomplishment). admiring his work with Suzie not sure what they are trying to get into here Taking the car for a spin. I looked over and Suzie was perched up in the car to see out the window so of course, Cal had to join her. Fortunately we got out of the house in the afternoon to go have cupcakes & play at U Village w/Cal's buddy Charlie and some of his friends

he's so silly
I love love love Cal's age right now. He's seriously such riot to be around and it blows me away how smart he is, what a little boy he's becoming and how much he's changing by the day. I think my baby is officially gone... About a month ago we thought we were getting a little taste of some early terrible two's but hopefully it was just a phase, and probably a little preview of what we're in for in 8 months.
his new obsession... baseball

Good times w/ friends & fam
We went east for the weekend and had a great friend-filled couple days. Weekends like this remind us that 1) we're so lucky to have such great friends/family 2) we live in an amazing area 3) we definitely aren't 21 anymore...
Friday we went to a cabin that Joe & Gina rented for Joe's 30th b-day near Leavenworth. Despite the 2 million mosquitoes that tried to eat us for dinner, it was a blast.
here comes the bride!
The Kerstons!Cal got to spend lots of time with Gram & Pop. Pop even took him for his first ride on the 4wheelers. Unfortunately, my camera died so I didn't get pics of the actual ride and all the other fun things he got into.

another weekend come & gone
Cal got to play with his gal pal Emily on Friday and I think he's finally met his match in energy levels. She was being sweet and tyring to give Cal hugs but he was a little unsure. He did go in for a kiss goodbye when it was time to leave. Jenni and the fam were in town on Saturday and they invited Cal and Ian over to their hotel for swimming and pizza. Cal did a fashion show in his swim diaper.
... and I spent some time with the girls for Shannyn's wedding showerOn Sunday we went down to Point Defiance Zoo and if Cal could talk I think he'd say it was the best day of his life. He LOVED the zoo, the animals, the fish, etc. He growled his whole way through the zoo - this is what he does when he sees big animals (i.e. beers, tigers, etc.). If I had to guess I would say the monkeys, tiger and iguana were his favorite. touristy pic with Mt. Rainer in the background
