Just me & the boys

Ian was out of town this weekend turkey hunting, so the boys and I held down the fort, filling our time with bike rides, a slumber party, movies, take-out, and more.
80 degrees at 7 p.m. on Friday night, yes please!
off to one of the Apple Blossom parades with our ten tons of crap
next up, t-ball.
I thought 3 feet of licorice would keep this kiddo entertained for some time.... It lasted 3 minutes.

Half-way there.

So I might have picked up a few cute little items when buying baby gifts for friends over time to have on hand "just in case" we could use them down the road. I mean, who doesn't love a cute Cougar cheerleading outfit.
Well, we found out today that these are going in our little GIRL's closet. Yep, it's a GIRL! I couldn't believe it when the ultrasound tech told us. I still don't completely believe it cause I'm so used to hearing (and seeing) it's a boy. But she seemed confident (98% is what she said) that it's a girl. And we're officially on the downhill slide, 19 weeks & 6 days (hopefully) until she's here! Here's some of her 20 week glamour shots.

Trucks, tball & hockey oh my!

It was one of those weekends where I feel like we crammed about three weekends worth of stuff into one. Some of the highlights...

While I was volunteering at Touch-a-Truck, Ian brought the boys over for a quick visit in between t-ball pics & game. And as always, the boys just LOVED it. One of the highlights, sitting in the backhoe.
Cal hanging out in the SWAT car
and playing on their softer sides, the boys sure loved the tooth fairy & creepy mascots.

After touch-a-truck it was off to Cal's t-ball game.
And we finished the weekend with a Wild hockey game.

I blame it on being pregnant....
a trip to the dam with good friends (getting a good pic of 4 kids, 5 and under is nearly impossible)
After these iphone posts, I always realize I take a ridiculous amount of pics of my dogs... And not enough of my kids and all our fun weekday outings.

'Put me in the zoo'

Last weekend, after attempting to drive to Seattle by myself  Ian called me 30 minutes into the drive to tell me to turn around and come home thanks to a massive snow snow hitting the passes. So after coming home and moping about missing wedding dress shopping with one of my best friends, my awesome husband & boys offered to take me over. So while I was off with the ladies dress shopping, the boys hit the zoo.
Notice anything?! I guess the duck's just trying to fit in.
The drive over. Coming home was SO bad. We were one of the last cars to cross the summit before it closed.

First T-ball game

Cal had his first t-ball game last Wednesday. He was SO excited for it and had an absolute blast. So special watching your kid do something they love so much.

Baby & bump glamour shots

For the sake remembering every last thing about this pregnancy, I wanted to jot down a little something about the last 18 weeks. And overall, be better about documenting all things pregnancy than I was with B. So here it goes...

Compared to the being pregnant with the boys, this one has physically been the hardest (at least that's how I remember it now, being in the moment). No real morning sickness, just overall all day icky-ness (is that a word?). SO tired and nasty headaches. However, 16 weeks felt like a big turning point and I started feeling a little more human again.

Cravings: nothing really this time around. Early on, I noticed many more and couldn't get enough fruit, bagels & sandwiches (Subway, please!). The one thing that hasn't sounded really good is ice cream, which is funny cause I ate a ton of it with my other pregnancies. Oh, and I can't get enough of lemons in my ice water.

Showing: Yes! I can't believe how early "the bump" showed up. Third time around, things just know how to grow. However, this last week I'd say I "popped" cause it's looking more like a baby bump than a beer gut.

Lil' Kicker: There were a couple times around 14 weeks that I felt what I thought could have been baby movements but I felt a definite baby 'poke' at 17 weeks, and everyday since I feel the little peanut moving and kicking.

Fun with friends

We were overdue for a visit (& the kids a playdate) with our dear friends the Hintons, so last week over the mountains we went to end spring break with some fun. The plan was to do the zoo on Saturday but the weather was nasty so we hit the Pacific Science Center instead. My Science Center review, fun but super crowded. Cal LOVED the dinosaur exhibit so that made it worth every penny. Thanks Hintons for having us!
