While mom and dad are away, Cal will play.

Ian and I went to Salish for the day/night (which was awesome!) and my sis and fam came over to watch the little guy for our first overnight trip away. I don't think Cal even realized we left and was less than excited when we came home... I think he wants to keep Jenni and Logan. He had SO much fun.

backyard fun

Love it!

We finished our remodel about 7 months ago and finally got around to putting up wall hangings, and I love the way it turned out so I have to share. It was mission impossible to get a good pic though...

Crib destructor no more

Cal has a horrible habit of chewing on his beautiful crib and he's done some serious damage to the front and side rails... We've been looking for several months for something to protect it from his chompers but finding guards for cribs with wide-rails are not easy to come by.... until now. Cal's not too pleased we took his wood snack away from him.

the destructor's mouth after a chewing session

the damage (this pic doesn't do the damage justice) the solution!

I know what I'm going to be doing this weekend...

...watching my very own copy of Twilight. Ian was such an A+ hubby today. While I was at a baby shower he and Cal went out early to buy it before it sold out like I was convinced it would. It was no where near selling out when Ian was there...

Someone's got a new sleeping buddy

Garfield is now a must at every nap and bedtime.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

We said a little cheers to our non-Irish, yet Irish named son (Callahan Brady). Lot o' new posts below.

Kinda funny

I had no intention of posting these pics but when I was looking through the camera they made me laugh. We were trying to get a head shot of Cal for his passport and passpport pics have to be against a light colored, plain background. Ya, right... How are we supposed to get him to stay still against a wall to get a straight on pic?! Here's some of the many pictures we took.
Our final attempt for getting the shot (and 1 outfit change later cause all the picture taking made Cal have to poo)...Wa-la, this was the money head shot!

Cal the builder

He's obviously been watching his dad build cause he picked up the screw driver and started helping Ian put together his new toy shelf. Such a great little helper (minus the divots he made in the wood when he got mad and started pounding on it).

Wagon rides

Cal got a new wagon from Grammy & Pa (Hunter) for his b-day (that they built) and we can't wait for the weather to clear up so we can take it around the neighborhood. In the interim we did practice rides in the house. Suzie likes it too!

Early Spring Bird Blastin'

I was lucky enough to join Julie's dad Jim and brother-in-law Lars on a pheasant hunting trip to Ellensburg. We hunted on a ranch that raises and releases birds for paying customers. It was a blast, and the dogs had a great time too.

The other weekend when Jenni and the fam were here, the kids and I went to Paint the Town to paint some pottery. So much fun! Here's our masterpieces.

Walk on

For those that haven't seen Cal walk, here's a little video of our walking machine. He even started speed walking today. Watch out world.

Party Animal

We had a weekend full of b-day parties and that meant lots of cake for Cal. He was a happy kiddo!

We went to Lo's 7th b-day on Saturday and Cal channeled his inner gymnast - Jenni rented a gymnastics facility. This would have been my dream party as a kid.
On Sunday we went to Cal's friend Emily's 1st b-day party.Go figure, Cal was obsessed with Emily's car. He refused to get out when it was time to go in for presents and cake so we had to wheel him in, in the car and he sat in it in the living room while Emily opened her gifts.
