We're back...

...and we had an AMAZING vacation! We could not have asked for better weather in Maui, and Cal was a blast on the trip. Such a great little traveler and he loved all that Hawaii had to offer.

I swear we brought back a different kid – we can’t get over how much he changed over the 9 days we were gone.

Couple Cal Hawaii updates:

  • He’s a fish. He LOVED swimming in the big pool. Couldn’t get enough of it.
  • After he warmed up to the beach (which he also loved), sand became he new favorite food.
  • He’s the most social member of our fam. He made so many friends and was particularly fond of the ladies. He went nuts over all the kids. Ian and I kept saying that he’d show his new lady friends all his tricks cause he would show them how he could clap, wave, blow on his arms, etc. every time he met someone new.
  • The days of baby food are over… He got so used to either eating our food or getting his own food at a restaurant that when we tried feeding him baby food on the plane home, he refused.
  • He’s got a little bit of my complexion. Even with his SPF 55, he got a little tan (no burn)!

Once I sort through the hundreds of pictures we took, I’ll post some. If I’m feeling ambitious and we get unpacked, maybe tonight. If not, in the next couple of days.

Here’s a little sneak peak into our trip.

Welcome Home! It looks like you guys had good weather. It poured almost the whole time we were in Maui when Wesley was 3 months old. We still had a blast, but got soaked doing everything. Did you guys see the sunrise on Haleakala?

We really did luck out with the weather in Maui! It was mid-80s with clear blue skies for the whole trip. I wish it would have been crummy our last day to make leaving easier. However we spent three days in Oahu and one off the days it poured all day, which just so happened to be the day of the WSU football game.

We missed the sunrise on Haleakala by about an hour, but we did see the sunrise pretty much every day walking the beach thanks to Cal not adjusting to the time change :)
