Happy Halloween!

Playing with the boys

Cal got to play with his buddy Charlie this week and Charlie's buddy Boaz. He was fascinated watching the big boys run around... soon enough buddy, you'll be able to keep up.

The day with dad

Cal's a standing fool now, so he got this cool new toy to stand and walk with. Right now we have to push it against something for him to stand to make sure it doesn't roll away and to prevent nose dives but soon enough he'll be racing through the house. Ian and Cal did lots of playing Monday with his toy.

Perfect Seattle day

Cal and I spend the day with Shannyn, Amanda and LT on Saturday while Ian was in Wenatchee elk hunting (the guys had no luck this year). We took advantage of the nice Fall weather and wandered around Pike Place Market in the afternoon.

Cal got to stay up late and kick it with mom and her friends - he loved all the attention.

Jammie day

I'm a firm believer in getting Cal dressed everyday even if it's just in sweats, but we made an exception today. He slept for a better part of the day (two 2.5 hour naps - so nice!) so he got to kick it in his jams all day.

playing made him hot so we unzipped for a bit

Some random pics from the weekend

Now that Cal's standing so well, this is pretty much his favorite thing to do. We need to take video to post of him walking (holding on to us). His little steps are SO cute.

Walks make him so sleepy

Still sleeping in transport to the crib (and unable to move his arms in his big down jacket)

8 months already?!?

Cal hit 8 months on Saturday. Such an amazing age (I say this every month). Some updates on the big guy: he now has 3 teeth (#4 is on the way), he's still huge, he loves giving hugs, favorite food is fruit and all finger foods that he can feed himself, his favorite game is peek-a-boo - he puts everything over his face, he's still not crawling but manages to get around (I think he'll go straight to walking), absolutely loves dogs, loves baths, hates getting boogies sucked out of his noses, thinks it's so cool to stand on his own and is starting to walk if we're holding his hands. There's something new everyday but this is all I can think of at the moment.

We were in Wenatchee this weekend packing up 30 years worth of stuff at Gram & Pops since they're moving. We were so busy that I took very few pics.

What happened to my sweet baby that used to just lay there?

Cal's not even crawling yet, but he manages to get into everything. Things I have pulled out of Callahan's mouth today:
  • the rug
  • one of my flip flops
  • a sheet of return address labels
  • a new debit card

He managed to get into all of these things while I WAS watching him... He never leaves my side but somehow gets into everything the second I turn my head. Let the baby proofing begin.

pumpkin patch

We went to a pumpkin patch/u-pick farm and despite getting pored on, we had a blast. One of the many benefits of having a kid is getting to go to places like this. We might just have to hit it again (sans the rain) to get more pumpkins.
