Misc...

This girl and the tree... She reorganized the bottom half of the tree over & over. But no broken ornaments! And when she wasn't touching, she'd stand and point saying "oh wow!"

Bring it on, 2015.

2014... What a year. Some lows, some highs and I'm left with hope for a happy & healthy 2015 for our family. Year to date, Jan. 3rd was the day last year where our world was turned upside down. Well, technically it started on Dec. 28th when Bennett first got sick but the 3rd was the day that he was admitted to the hospital. The scariest 4 days of my life seeing my boy laying so sick in a hospital bed.  And that leads me to my “resolution” for 2015…. be more in the moment with my kids. Stop to play, be silly, put aside the chores and choose my kids more.

A look back on our 2014...

Happy.

Baby girl is 15 months and pure joy. Her favorite word to say is "happy", I think that says a lot about her personality. Then again she's also mastered "nah-nah!" (no-no) and "naughty". It's crazy how much she's talking and repeating. Some of my other favorites are "day-dew" (thank you), "hey suz" and another one of her favorites "meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"  She screams this when she wants something. She's a dancing queen and shoulder shrugs the second she hears music, likes to show off her tricks like walking backwards, is starting to throw little tantrums, is into everything and can make our house look like a tornado rolled through in seconds.

Trimming the tree

"We" decorated (then I might have redecorated once the boys were in bed) after Emmie was in bed. She woke up and was enamored with the tree and all things glittery, bright and unfortunately breakable. She can't get enough of staring at it and picking out the perfect ornaments to yank off.

Winter Wonderland (for a day)...

We got our first snow a couple Fridays ago and the boys couldn't wait to get outside to play in it. The day that it first snowed, Ian's 1 hour commute turned into a 4 hour commute (on his day off, non the less) so the boys patiently waited until the next morning to go out and play since it was too late when he got home. They were dressed and out the door before 8 a.m. Little miss even joined in on the fun.
