Kindergarten Grad

School's out for summer! Cal had his last day of school yesterday & Kindergarten graduation last night. We now officially have a 1st grader. My heart is so full from this year. It's been wonderful... watching this boy grow & learn. He's reading, so good at math, learning Spanish, growing spiritually, has great little friendship, etc. And I'm so proud of how well Cal has handled everything that's been thrown his way this year, a new sister at the begging of school year and Bennett's illness mid-year. He's taken it all in stride, is such a huge help with his sister and makes my life as his mom so fulfilling

So proud!

My boy received some pretty special awards at the school's end of year award ceremony and I couldn't be more proud of him. It was so awesome proudly seeing him go up in front of the school to collect them.  He received an AR award for his participation in the Advanced Reading program and he was the kindergarten boy selected to receive the Excellence in Music award and Principal's Honor Roll award!
So a trip to Blue Spoon was in order to celebrate.
And the day just kept getting better. He then passed a level in swim lesson.

And that's a wrap.

Bennett had his last week of preschool (last week) and once again the school has blessed us with another great year.  Bennett had the best time, made some of the sweetest friends (as did I), and adores his teacher. Fortunately, he has many more years of school with his buddies.

Memorial Day weekend

First up, Friday night family dinner at Milepost 111.
On Saturday, Cal's buddy Cormac spent the day with us and they played and played and played.
Next up, a BBQ and slip & slide fun at some friends'.

On Sunday, we drove to Seattle for a Mariners game and this poor guy was asleep in the car before 8:30 a.m. from all the fun the day before.
Emmie's first game.
These boys loved every minute of the game and insisted on staying until the very end.
And the best part of the game, the St. Joe's Honor Choir sang the Nathional Anthem before the game. Amazing!
