Day 6
Today I'm thankful for all the love we felt after Emmie was born. We're overwhelmed with gratitude from all the kindness showered upon us. Folks brought us meals, we received amazing gifts from friends/family/neighbors/coworkers including some really thoughtful handmade and personalized presents, friends watched our kids, drove them home from school so I wouldn't have to wake up baby, shared tons of hand-me-down clothes and baby goods, and seriously you could just feel the genuine happiness and excitement from our friends & family on Emmie's arrival. Talk about feeling blessed.
Day 5
I missed posting this last night cause my little lady wanted some mamma snuggles before falling asleep and then we ended up falling asleep together. So with that said, I edited my Day 5 of thanks based on last night. I'm thankful for a good (relatively speaking) night's sleep. I had a night of snuggling with my girl, which I welcomed since she's in her own bed now, and she only woke up once at 3 a.m. for a little snack. I slept hard up until then and was back to sleep for another solid 3 hours until my alarm went off at 6:30 a.m. Hallelujah. I woke up refreshed, clear headed and ready to tackle the day.

Day 4
Today's thanks goes to my other half. I thank God everyday for bringing me Ian. For meeting at WSU and our friendship (and our every Wednesday night hang-outs) before we ever started dating and for the last 10 years we've been together. He's the provider for our family, an amazing dad to our babes, and a wonderful life partner.

Unfortunately, aside from some pics earlier in the day, I have no pictures of our Halloween nighttime fun. Boo. But it sure was fun. We had a get-together at our house with some of the kids' friends and their families along with my fam. The boys had so much fun trick-or-treating with their buddies & Logan and our neighborhood was insane this year. SO may kids (we were out of candy by 7:30) and so many of the houses in the hood went all out. Until next year...
Unfortunately, I didn't get any good pics of Emmie all dressed up... But when I was telling a friend that the other day, she said, she's young, she'll never know if you take pics of her after Halloween. So we're going to do a costume re-do with her this week. Stay tuned.
Day 3 of thanks.
Today I am thankful for our faith, sharing our lives with God and my kids' early understanding & love for Jesus.
here's a little throwback to earlier this year when Cal taught Bennett The Lord's Prayer.

30 days of thanks.
We have SO much to be thankful for this year. We're so very blessed and my heart is full. So here goes my 30 days of thanks on the good ole' blog.
Day #1
Thankful for the love these boys have for their sister. They've been so amazing with her... kind, careful, loving, helpful, etc. There's not a day that I don't hear from Cal, "I'm so excited we have a baby sister." A couple days ago I asked Cal to watch Emmie while I grabbed a rag to wipe her face, and while I was in the bathroom I heard him say to her, "I'm so happy you're my sister." And a couple weeks ago while we were driving to school he told me, "God answered our prayers and gave us baby Emmie." Seriously.
